About the Cards

These photographs and the cards that present them are exclusive to this website and are created by me, Fleur Robertson.

There are two sizes of card that frame the photographs. Both are square. The smaller card is 118mm (just over 4 ½ inches) square and displays a square image. The larger card displays a rectangular image. This card is 157mm (or just over 6 inches) square.

Card Creation

The photograph is inlaid in a debossed frame on the front of the card...	...which is then titled and signed by hand on the reverse...	...and initialled discreetly on the front.

 

The six cards you have selected are accompanied by matching hand-made envelopes lightly debossed on the flap with ‘Taking Time’ and sealed with a convenient peel-and-seal strip.
		The phrase 'Taking Time' is a subtle reinforcement that someone has taken the time to write - and is the first image seen when the card's recipient goes to open it.

 

Then the set of six cards are swathed in decorative semi-transparent paper...	...and sealed with a genuine wax seal. Each wax impression is slightly different from any other, and so is unique to its set of cards.

 

Also in the box is a square information sheet about the photographer, a Guarantee of Quality card, and a complimentary bookmark, featuring a miniature inlaid photograph.

 

Secured with the paper and the wax seal, the cards are then encased in an understated presentation box, the colour of which tones with the seal.

The box is then securely cushioned by acid-free tissue paper and packed in a strong white postal box.

Attention to Detail

This presentation is considered in its every detail, from the precise framing of the hand-printed photograph, which is printed on high quality matt paper...

 

... to the texture of the card itself – which is smoother on the inside to ensure a good writing surface –

 

... and to the tranquil shade of the box. On the lid is the phrase ‘Taking Time’ blind debossed. Only on the reverse is the website address, discreetly debossed in matt silver.

 

From the printing and preparation of the individual photographs to the setting of the seal, it takes great care and attention to detail to create each box. The time taken ensures a gift of the highest quality.

I take pride in working by hand with materials sourced from established British suppliers and retailers, some of whom have been trading for over two hundred years. This is definitely a product made in England.
