About the Photographer

Fleur Robertson, Photographer (photo courtesy Gary Baxter)FLEUR ROBERTSON

I started Taking Time Cards after thirty years of photography, twenty of them spent at the foot of the Surrey Hills. This is a region officially designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Living here, it's been a great pleasure to record my surroundings through the lens.

These special cards are my way of sharing that pleasure with you. I wanted to create a handmade gift - using my images - that was as far from mass produced as possible. See how the cards are made here.

As you browse the galleries, you will see photographs from elsewhere in England and abroad, but most of my subject matter is found in the vicinity of the hamlets of Christmas Pie, Flexford and Wanborough, and the villages of Normandy and Puttenham. These lie in west Surrey, either side of a distinctively shaped ridge known locally as the Hog’s Back.
